It was revealed last March that Konno Oyuki’s “Maria-sama ga Miteru” will have a live-action movie adaptation and is expected to open in fall 2010. The trailer’s finally been released, and it stars models Honoka Miki and Haru!
The story follows the daily lives of the students attending Lillian Girl’s Academy. This school has a tradition known as the ’sœur system’ (’soeur’ being french for ’sister’), which entails that a grande sœur (“big sister”; 2nd or 3rd year student) must give their rosary to the petite sœur (little sister) and look after them.
“Maria-sama ga Miteru” is a series of light novels by Konno Oyuki that was later adapted into an 8-volume manga by Nagasawa Satoru. Furthermore, it was adapted in a 4-season anime series which ran from Januray 2004 to March 2009.
The movie is scheduled to open in theatres on November 6, 2010.
