Jack Wilshere boasted of his wealth and then made a crude sexual insult, a jury heard
England star Jack Wilshere caused a nightclub fight in which a girl broke her arm by chatting her up with the line 'Come with us, we've got more money', a court heard.
The Arsenal midfielder boasted of his wealth in front of her boyfriend, and then made a crude sexual insult about her, a jury heard.
But after starting the trouble with his 'unimpressive behaviour', Wilshere then backed down as his friends and hers fought, the prosecution said.
The men began fighting after Jack Wilshere apparently insulted a girl who had rejected his advances
She ended up falling to the ground and breaking her elbow.
Prosecutor Warwick Tatford said of Wilshere: 'One of the sad ironies is that although he starts it all off, he doesn't get involved in the violence itself.'
The Arsenal midfielder - who earns £50,000-a-week - allegedly made the comment to Kimberley Plested as she was out celebrating her 21st birthday at the trendy Kensington nightclub Amika in London in August last year.
Miss Plested turned him down as she was out with her boyfriend but things turned nasty as the two groups left the club when Wilshere, 19, made a crude sexual comment about 'sloppy seconds,' jurors heard.
Prosecution said after starting the trouble with his 'unimpressive behaviour', Wilshere then backed down
Wilshere, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Lauren Neal, 22, in August, is seen on CCTV grabbing one of Miss Plested's male friends by the lapels and shaking him, triggering a fight.
The footballer then distances himself from the violence while the rest of his friends get in a fist-fight with two of Miss Plested's male friends.
Miss Plested's boyfriend Dan Farnon, 22, ended up with a cut to his eye after being punched by one of Wilshere's friends, Isleworth Crown Court heard.
Miss Plested suffered a broken and dislocated elbow after falling over during the fracas outside in the early hours of August 29 last year, jurors were told.
Mr Tatford said: 'Mr Wilshere is the person who gets in first in this incident.
'He said 'why don't you come with us - we've got more money'.
Even at the age of 19, Jack Wilshere is already regarded as a future star of international football
'Wilshere seems to be the one chatting up Kimberley Plested in the nightclub, then boasting about having more money.
'She fobbed him off and said she'd got a boyfriend, thank you very much.
The court heard Miss Plested's group later left the club and were outside waiting for their stretch Hummer limo, which she had hired to take her to the club from her home in Surrey, to pick them up.
But a fight broke out when they encountered Wilshere and his friends again.
Mr Tatford said: 'They came outside to wait for their stretch limo to take them home and encountered that group who had been trying to chat up Kim Plested and that's when it all started, with another unpleasant and rude remark.
