Making a point: The star was in incredible shape for her appearance on the live final of the show

It wasn't only the finalists who were left breathless on the So You Think You Can Dance live final on BBC1 tonight.

Viewers at home were left gasping when Jennifer Lopez gave a sizzling live performance in a glittery catsuit that was so lowcut is showed off her bra - and so tight it revealed every inch of her famous rear.

The 41-year-old star was performing her recent No. 1 single On The Floor on the show, ahead of her appearance tomorrow on the bill at Capital Radio's Summertime Ball.

To a standing ovation from judges Sisco Gomez, Louise Redknapp, Nigel Lythgoe and Arlene Phillips, host Cat Deeley was almost speechless before paying tribute to the star's performance with a simple: 'The one and only Jennifer Lopez!'

Having been told the result from Cat, all he could exclaim was: 'I just feel amazing, it's amazing!

'I'm speechless. It's been the best thing I've ever done in my life.'

Cat didn't too badly herself in the style stakes, wearing a tiny tight sequined red mini dress.

The winner of the show meanwhile was tap dancer Matt Flint, who landed the £50,000 prize and the chance to dance onstage in Hollywood.

He had managed to stay out of the bottom two throughout the show.

Nigel however was more verbose on just how good a winner he was.

He said: 'It's going to be a delight for me to take Matt to Hollywood and see him dance there. He's got great character, great style, he's going to fit right in.'

Officially named Britain's Favourite Dancer, he was then carried aloft on the shoulders of his fellow finalists before they threw him in the air.

The show has been running for the past eight weeks and saw 20 dancers whittled down to a final four.

It was revealed earlier this week however that it could be the last outing for the show.

Despite being a huge success in the States - where it has made a star of Cat in America - it's rumoured that BBC will not bring it back next year after disappointing ratings this time round.

Last week, despite being the semi-final, ratings fell under three million when the show clashed with the England versus Switzerland football match on ITV1.
